HASTINGS — A strong area of high pressure aloft building across the region this weekend will usher in very hot temperatures and the potential for dangerous Heat Index values.
An Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for much of our coverage from Saturday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. The counties currently included in this watch are those with the best potential at this time for multiple days with head index values near 105 degrees. Expect headline changes as we get closer to this weekend.
The overall hottest day with the most widespread concern currently looks to be Saturday.
