GRAND ISLAND — Heartland Public Shooting Park is hosting Action 3-Gun Match and Fun Shoot.

The event takes place Sunday, Aug. 27, Sept. 24 and Oct. 15. Set up starts at 10 a.m. and shooting begins at 11 a.m.

There is a $22 registration fee per shooter. Pay online or register at the office.

The match will consist of 4-5 stages, with 100-150 scoring rounds.

Courses may contain rifle shots from one yard to 300 yards, pistol shots from one yard to 50 yards, and shotgun targets from 9-20 yards. Slugs might be used in the match. No buckshot in the match.

Steel core and steel jacketed ammo is prohibited on steel targets. Using Steel core or steel jacketed ammo will result in immediate disqualification from the match.

Heartland Public Shooting Park is a cold range, meaning firearms are to remain cased until you are at the safe table or under the instruction of a Range Officer.

Firearms are to remain unloaded at all times until directed to load by a Range Officer.
