The Turnpike Troubadours opened the next stage of their 2023 tour at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln on Thursday night with support from the Avett Brothers and Muscadine Bloodline.  With the release of their new album (A Cat In The Rain) set for the next day they played a 90 minute/21 song set the featured many of their crowd favorites like 7&7, Diamonds and Gasoline, The Housefire, Long Hot Summer Day and more as well as three songs from the new album tightly packed in a group of three mid set.  As always you can count on fantastic musicianship in a mostly no frills show…No pyro or crazy costumes here just great Oklahoma Red Dirt.

The Avett Brothers 15 song set was high energy and you could tell for sure from the amount of people on the floor mouthing every word that they had their fans living their best life.  Kick Drum Heart, Ain’t No Man, Live and Die, etc. all sound fantastic live.  Lincoln was one of only three stops that the Avett’s are sharing the bill with Turnpike so everybody in attendance in Lincoln is fortunate to have this show line up for them.

Muscadine Bloodline from Mobile Alabama opened up the show with a 30 minute set that had their die hard fans in attendance loving every minute of it.
