Emergency 911 Centers in Buffalo, Hall and Dawson have been restored, and residents can call 911 again for emergencies.
Thursday night, emergency 911 center’s in several counties experienced an outage, and could not be called through 911. As of Friday morning, Hall County/City of Grand Island, Buffalo County/City of Kearney, and Dawson county state issues have been resolved, and telephones line to their centers are back.
According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office in a release, it has not been determined what the exact cause may have been for Buffalo County 911 outage but is believe to be due to a fiber optic line that was cut.
