The Bearcats entered the day 2-4 on the year aiming to garner some momentum before taking on their home invite on Saturday. Fremont was an even 5-5 having gone 1-3 the past weekend against stiff competition facing Elkhorn South, Millard West, Lincoln North Star, and Bennington.
Kearney dropped Set 1 25-12 despite being locked in near the beginning of the set tied at 7 each.
Set 2 also went the way of the Tigers after Fremont separated themselves late, earning the 25-16 win.
Finally, despite a late Kearney rally to prevent a sweep, the Tigers finished off the Bearcats in Set 3 25-21.
