KEARNEY — Kearney Police Department (KPD) took part in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled law enforcement effort that was conducted nationwide from August 16th through Sept. 4, 2023.
Kearney officers focused on alcohol violations such as Minor in Possession, and Driving under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs. During this enforcement period, KPD made arrests for [DUI – Alcohol (15), DUI-Drugs (1), and Minor in Possession of Alcohol (5)]. Additionally, Officer made 3 felony arrests and 2 fugitives were apprehended.
Kearney Police Department’s participation in the impaired driving enforcement is funded through a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
