MINDEN — Weather permitting, work will begin September 11 at the Minden Interchange, Exit 279, in Buffalo County, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Watts Electric Company of Waverly is the contractor for this project. Work includes removal of the existing high mast lighting tower foundations and construction of new high mast lighting towers.
Traffic will be maintained on I-80 and at the Minden Interchange with shoulder closures when necessary.
Anticipated completion is October 2023.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
