The City of Kearney Utilities Department announces that 44th Street from Central Avenue to 1st Avenue will be closed effectively immediately for an emergency repair of a water leak.
The street will be reopened to traffic by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, weather and construction permitting.
Motorists are asked to use caution in the area, to watch for construction workers and use an alternate route if possible.
