White’s defense allowed only 26 points in the first six quarters of the season – 13 each to Minnesota in their first contest and to Colorado in the opening half.
HASTINGS COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL DROPS ROAD TEST AT TOP 15 MIDLAND:
The Hastings College volleyball team hit the road to take on No. 15 Midland and fell in four sets 15-25, 25-23, 17-25, 21-25 on Wednesday night.
As a team, Hastings hit .122 while Midland hit .232.
Hastings falls to 5-6 (0-4) on the year and will be back in action Friday Sept. 15 taking on Bellevue at 2:00 pm and then will face off against Oklahoma Wesleyan at 7:00 pm down in Ottawa, KS.
BRONCOS WOMEN’S SOCCER VOTED TO TOP 25:
Hastings College Women’s Soccer undefeated start has not gone unnoticed by the Top 25 Coaches poll in the NAIA Top 25. The Broncos were placed No. 20 in the most recent edition of the poll, released yesterday.
Hastings College moved up from No. 21 to one spot higher while holding a 5-0-0 mark. That’s the most wins in the Top 25 with no losses or draws outside of the top two schools – William Carey (Miss.) and Spring Arbor (Mich.).

STORM SHUTOUT LANCERS IN EXHIBITION:
The Tri-City Storm posted a 4-0 road shutout of the Omaha Lancers Wednesday night at Liberty First Credit Union Arena.
Cameron Korpi was perfect in net, turning away each of the Lancer’s 29 shots on goal during the contest. Nolan Roed, Nick Peluso, August Falloon, and Easton Pace each netted a goal for the Storm in the win.
Tri-City returns home on Saturday night for a final exhibition game against the Lancers. Puck drop for Saturday’s home game at the Viaero Center is scheduled for 6:05pm CT.
