ELWOOD — The Team Jack Foundation is gearing up for the 11th Annual Radiothon presented by The Home Agency and the Jim and Sharri Baldonado family.
The event will take place on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, live from Elwood on The Home Agency grounds. This is our second largest fundraiser, and to date has raised over one million dollars for childhood brain cancer research.
This 11-hour event is made possible by the Huskers Radio Network, volunteer radio host Cody Thomas, Applied Connective Technologies, our sponsors, and dozens of radio stations across Nebraska.
The Home Agency owner, Jim Baldonado said, “The Team Jack Radiothon is a great way for everyone to help make a difference for kids with brain cancer. In the past ten years, we have gotten to know so many the families, and it hurts to see their young children fighting this disease. Anything that we can do at The Home Agency, BHA Real Estate, and our family, that’s what we want to do. We are proud to stand beside Team Jack in the fight against childhood brain cancer and invite you to join us on September 28.”
The radiothon features stories from families affected by child brain cancer as well as interviews with special guests who support the cause. In addition to the broadcast, this year our philanthropic partner, Borsheims, with the help of KAT 103.7, will feature a pop-up donation site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their location in Omaha’s Regency Shopping Center.

About Team Jack Foundation
The Team Jack Foundation’s mission is to raise research funds and awareness for childhood brain cancer. The disease affects nearly 5,000 children each year and is the leading cancer cause of death in children. Each year less than four percent of U.S. federal funding is solely dedicated to childhood cancer research, with even less spent on childhood brain cancer research.
One area of focus for the Foundation is the development of a childhood brain tumor program in Omaha. Team Jack has committed $6.5 million toward the program at UNMC and Children’s Hospital & Medical Center that funds clinical and laboratory research, pain management in cancer, and education to make an impact for regional children affected by brain cancer.
