Head coach Will Bolt announced the 2024 baseball schedule Wednesday, which features 27 home games at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park for the Huskers.

The 2024 slate includes five 2023 NCAA Tournament participants in Big Ten regular-season and tournament champion Maryland, Southland Conference regular-season and tournament champion Nicholls and at-large selections Indiana, Iowa and Texas Tech.

The Huskers begin the 56-game campaign in one of college baseball’s premier events at the Shriners Children’s College Showdown (Feb. 16-18) at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Nebraska opens the season against Baylor, before taking on Texas Tech and Oklahoma.

HUSKER FOOTBALL/BASEBALL ADD TEXAS DUAL SPORT ATHLETE:

JD Crisp, a two-way player from Cypress (Texas) Second Baptist, was in Lincoln for an unofficial visit this past weekend for Nebraska Athletics.

Crisp, who was already holding an offer from Iowa before visiting Nebraska, left Lincoln holding an offer from the Huskers. The 6-foot-0 and 188 pound athlete committed to Nebraska before returning to Texas becoming the 25th overall commitment in the 2024 class.

Crisp is being recruited by Nebraska to play either the safety position or wide receiver. Crisp says that his preference is playing on the offensive side of the ball, but he wants to help Nebraska win ball games.

Crisp plans to play both football and baseball for Nebraska.
