RICHARDSON, TEXAS – On Tuesday, the Lone Star Conference announced West Texas A&M’s Reagan Heelan as its Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week. It is the first time Heelan earns the award for the first time this season and sixth time in Maroon and White.
Heelan, a former Kearney High Bearcat graduate from 2020, helped the Lady Buffs start 0-0-2 in Lone Star Conference play as the junior allowed one goal over 180 minutes of play. Against Oklahoma Christian, Heelan allowed a goal in the 23rd minute before holding the Eagles off the board for the remainder of the game. Against Texas A&M International, Heelan posted a career-high 11 saves to shutout the Dustdevils.
The Lady Buffs return to LSC play on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at UT Permian Basin. Action against the Falcons starts at 5:30 p.m. in Odessa.
