“Today was a tale of opposites with us winning one dual 5-1, but then losing by the same score to Lincoln Southwest. Lincoln Southwest has a very strong team and has many pieces back from last year’s 3rd place team. Overall I feel like we played well in all of our matches. Southwest was just a little sharper and made a few less errors. We can build off this loss, as we have many more opportunities for matches the next few days. Asher Saulsbury was the only Bearcat to win both their matches today. Asher started a little sluggish against Lincoln Southwest falling behind 2-0 before winning 8 of the next 9 games. Asher did a really good job of figuring out what he needed to change and he was able to make those adjustments. I like how perceptive Asher is and how he is willing to change his game plan if something isn’t working. Asher played exceptionally well in his second match against Grand Island. Asher did a great job of moving the ball around and forcing his opponent into errors. ” – KHS Boys Tennis Coach Troy Saulsbury
