“Today there was a lot of competitive matches. I liked how we were able to pull away at the end and close out many of them. Due to the meet being played at the Ernest Grundy Tennis Center, we played an expanded format with 8 singles and 4 doubles. It was great to see Cole Gappa and Evan Shaffer pick up some varsity wins for the team. They really played well in doubles. Evan and Cole continue to get stronger with their aggressiveness and how they attack at the net. Asher, Drew, and Kyler Eklund were also double winners for us today. All three did an excellent job of changing up their tactics when they needed to. Giving their opponent a different look helped create some more errors. Overall today was another solid day for our team top to bottom. Hastings has a senior dominated lineup with a lot of experience. I was very pleased with how we played and won the majority of the matches.” – KHS Boys Tennis Coach Troy Saulsbury
