The Huskers (13-0) are on their best start to a season since 2008. Nebraska received four first place votes after taking down Purdue and Indiana last week in road contests, winning over Purdue in five sets and downing the Hoosiers 3-1.
Wisconsin (13-0) remained the top rated Big Ten team for their sixth consecutive week at No. 1. Other conference teams included: No. 14 Penn State (10-3) moving up from No. 15; No. 16 Minnesota (6-6) falling from No. 13; No. 19 Purdue (8-5) falling from No. 17 last week; and No. 25 Ohio State (5-8) staying within the top 25.
Nebraska also defeated No. 3 Stanford, No. 15 Creighton, and No. 22 Kentucky earlier this year. The Huskers have already notched six Top 25 wins this season.
