MCCOOK – The pilot of a plane that crashed in McCook Monday has been identified.
According to the City of McCook, on Oct. 30, a single engine plane crashed in the rear yard of a residence in the 1400 Block of East “C” Street in McCook, Nebraska. There were two occupants aboard the plane.
The occupants were identified as the pilot, Clifton Coffman, 79, who passed away from his injuries. The passenger was Henry Richter, 65, who was transported to Community Hospital of McCook for injuries.
The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the crash.
