KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Sanitation Division announces that due to the upcoming Veterans’ Day Holiday, Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, the following changes will be in effect for the refuse collection system and the Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill for the week of Nov. 6 – 10:
Residential Collection:
- Residential refuse collection will remain on schedule.
- Yard waste collection will remain on schedule.
- Recycling collection scheduled for the 2nd Friday of the month will remain on schedule.
Commercial Collection:
- Trash collection scheduled for Friday will remain on schedule.
- There will be no Saturday Commercial Collection.
Closings:
- The Kearney Area Recycling Center, located at 3007 East 39 Street, will be closed
on Friday, November 10. - The Solid Waste Agency Landfill and Compost/Tree Site, located at 6711 West 56 Street, will be closing at 2 pm on Friday, Nov. 10 and reopening on Monday, Nov. 13.
