LEXINGTON — The Heartland Museum of Military Vehicles (HMMV) is excited to announce its Veteran’s Day program, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 11. Activities will begin at the museum (606 Heartland Road, Lexington) at 9 a.m. with a free coffee and donut social, courtesy of Pinnacle Bank Lexington.
Guests are welcome to visit and explore the museum prior to the start of the program, which will begin promptly at 11 a.m.
Once the 11th Hour Ceremony has been conducted, HMMV is proud to premiere “The War to End All Wars- The Movie.” This film was created by the Swedish rock band, Sabaton, and features music from their latest album, which tells the stories of critical events in World War I.
HMMV is honored to participate in the band’s “History Rocks” project, which is on track to become the largest global museum campaign of its kind; to date, over 120 museums across the world are participating, including HMMV.
More information about the film and event can be found at the museum’s website: www.heartlandmilitarymuseum.com
A free bean soup luncheon will follow the screening of the movie, courtesy of Canyon Lake Brewing Company. Finally, HMMV is tentatively planning a Veteran’s Day parade at 4 P.M. in downtown Lexington, contingent upon weather and logistics.
