Even though Thanksgiving was a few days away, Christmas filled the air at CHI Health Center in Omaha. 13,000 fans gathered to see “The Most Wonderful Tour of the Year” with Pentatonix.

They recently released their new holiday greatest hits album, The Greatest Christmas Hits featuring 23 of the band’s top holiday songs and eight brand new tracks.

Pentatonix emerged in 2011 and redefined A Cappella. The quintet includes Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee.

They were very interactive with the crowd and brought out a game called The Wheel of Christmas.  They spun the wheel to choose which of their classic Christmas arrangements they would preform. For one segment of the show they went to a smaller stage at the back of the crowd on the floor and performed several songs including a new track called Thank You that the audience participated in. The crowd also participated in creating a TikTok by singing Mary Did You Know and they put up their lights for a chilling rendition of Amazing Grace.

They ended the show with their latest original Please Santa Please but then they returned for an encore with their version of Hallelujah.

Their next stop is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
