BROOKINGS, SD – Former Kearney High Bearcat and Nebraska Football player Isaiah Stalbird earned all-conference honors from the All-Missouri Valley Conference team, announced on Monday.
Stalbird, as well as 20 other South Dakota State Jackrabbits, were selected to the All-Conference team. Stalbird was a second-team selection, finishing the regular season second on the team in tackles including a pair of sacks and four tackles for loss.
The Bearcat alum also added an interception, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery while leading the Jackrabbit defense to their second overall ranking in total defense across the FCS.
Stalbird was a Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll member in 2022. SDSU is playing in their 12th consecutive appearance in the FCS playoffs and is the top-seed in the 24 team field. The Jackrabbits host Mercer on Dec. 2.
