Central Conference Teams
NEBRASKA – Another conference basketball bracket has been released for area teams, as the Central Conference formally announced their schedules for next week’s tournament.
Action begins on Monday, Jan. 22 for both the girls and boys brackets as the play-in games of the tournament take place between Schuyler and Lexington. Semifinal rounds will be played on Thursday (Boys) and Friday (Girls) at Northwest High School with the finals set at Aurora High School on Saturday.
The top overall seed in the boys bracket stands with Crete (12-0) as the Cardinals await the winner of the play-in contest for their Tuesday matchup. No. 4 York (6-6) will host No. 5 Columbus Lakeview (4-7), No. 3 Aurora (8-4) welcomes in No. 6 Seward (4-7), and No. 2 Adams Central (9-3) will host No. 7 Northwest (3-8).
The girls top seed was earned by Adams Central (10-2) as they await the winner of the Minutemaids and Warriors. No. 4 Aurora (7-6) will host No. 5 Crete (8-5), while No. 3 Northwest (7-5) welcomes in No. 6 York (5-7). Finally, No. 2 Seward (6-6) will host No. 7 Columbus Lakeview (3-8).
