Over the weekend, a fire suppression water line above the ceiling burst in Hall County District Judge Andrew Butler’s office, leaving damage including an inch of water on the floor.
Loren Humphrey, Facility Director for Hall County, told Hall County Commissioners about the incident at Tuesday’s County Commissioners’ meeting.
“It’s a terrible mess,” Humphrey said. He noted that the incident did not cause any damage to court files. Extremely cold weather caused the problem.
On Tuesday afternoon, numerous fans were running in the office, and furniture had been moved around. No one was working in the office.
