Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today
KEARNEY — Another slick morning could be in store for central Nebraska Wednesday morning as a Dense Fog Advisory has been issued starting at 6 p.m. this evening.
The National Weather Service – Hastings has issued the advisory for all of south-central Nebraska and north central Kansas, which will last through noon Wednesday.
Light winds and plentiful low-level moisture will bring the threat of fog redevelopment this evening for the entire area. Fog will be dense at times with visibilities of a quarter of a mile or less.
With temperatures expected to hover near to above freezing, there is the threat of slick spots in areas of thicker fog, NWS Hastings notes.
For those traveling, be prepared for slick roadways and quick changes in visibility over short distances.
“Some lingering drizzle may continue across the area Wednesday afternoon. High temperatures on Wednesday are expected to be slightly warmer than those today. Low temperatures Wednesday night will generally range from the low 20s to the low 30s,” per NWS Hastings.
