NSAA Wrestling // Central Nebraska Today

KEARNEY – The 2024 NSAA State Wrestling Duals qualifying teams have been identified and announced from the Nebraska Schools Activities Association.

Eight teams in each class (A, B, C, and D) were rated via their PowerPoints standings, seeding each squad by their respective ranking.

In Class A, Millard South is the top overall seed, followed by Millard West, Grand Island, Kearney, Lincoln East, Omaha Bryan, Columbus, and Norfolk.

Class B starts with Waverly, Cozad, Skutt Catholic, Gering, Schuyler, Blair, Beatrice, and wrapping with York.

Class C features its top team in undefeated Milford with Wilber-Clatonia, Broken Bow, Fillmore Central, Minden, Central City, St. Paul, and Battle Creek following suit.

Finally in Class D, Sutherland leads the pack as Aquinas Catholic, Ravenna, Burwell, Stanton, Loomis, Neligh-Oakdale, and Plainview showcase the rest of the class.

All action begins on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds with the Classes B & C quarterfinal wrestling beginning at 9 AM, as the Class A & D quarterfinals start at 10:30 AM.

The first round winners will advance to the semi-finals with the first-round losing teams competing in the consolation bracket. The consolation bracket will be wrestled out for 5th and 6th places. Second round winners in the consolation round will advance to the 5th place dual. Semi-final winners will advance to the finals with semi-final losers competing against each other for 3rd place.
