NEBRASKA – The semifinals are now set for both the girls and boys brackets of the Fort Kearny Conference basketball tournament, with action gearing back up on Thursday for the girls at Kearney High School and Friday at Kearney Catholic for the boys.
No. 1 Amherst handled Pleasanton at home, setting themselves up for a battle with Sumner-Eddyville Miller Friday night as the Mustangs downed Axtell 61-45. In Elm Creek, the No.2 Buffaloes outlasted Overton 70-60, as they’ll compete against Ansley-Litchfield as the Spartans downed Loomis 54-43.
The girls quarterfinals wrapped on Monday, as their semifinal matchups feature No. 1 Overton taking on No. 4 Wilcox-Hildreth, and No. 2 SEM facing off against No. 3 Elm Creek on Thursday night.
