Esvin Oxlaj-Aguilar, Hall County Department of Corrections

GRAND ISLAND — Esvin Oxlaj-Aguilar allegedly conversed on Tuesday, Jan. 30, with what he believed to be a 12-year-old female via social media, according to a Grand Island Police Department news release.

During the day on Jan. 30, he attempted numerous times to entice the juvenile female into leaving school and getting into a vehicle with him.

Around 1:30 p.m. Jan. 30, Oxlaj-Aguilar advised what he believed to be the 12-year-old female that he wanted to meet with her and have sex. Subsequently, he arrived at a designated location to meet with the juvenile female, the news release said.

He was then apprehended by police officers. During a search incident to arrest, a white crystalized substance was located in his pocket. Esvin admitted during a Miranda interview to the substance being methamphetamine. Esvin Oxlaj-Aguilar was arrested for felony Enticement by Electronic Device, Criminal Child Enticement and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
