GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island mother admitted to smoking methamphetamine while her children were in a different room of their home during the early morning hours of Thursday, Feb. 1.

According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers responded to a welfare check of two juvenile children at a home on Stoeger Drive.

It had been reported there was current drug use in the home by the mother, who was identified as Jasmine Bromlow.

Upon arrival at the residence, Bromlow allowed officers into the home, and she willingly provided officers with two Xanex pills, a controlled substance. Police say she admitted the pills were provided by another person.

Police also said Bromlow admitted to smoking methamphetamine inside the residence while her children were in a different room.

Bromlow was arrested for possess of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and her three juvenile children were placed on a 48 hour hold with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
