JOHNSON LAKE — An adult male was found deceased after a fire occurred at a residence at Lakeside Trailer Court at Johnson Lake on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
Around 4:11 p.m., the Gosper County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the trailer court in reference to a check welfare call for service.
Upon arriving at the scene, Sheriff Jesse Naputi discovered that the residence had recently been involved in a fire. He gained access to the residence and discovered a deceased male inside.
They were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Gosper County coroner.
An investigation in reference to the single adult fatality at this location is currently being conducted. The State Fire Marshall’s Office is assisting with the fire and death investigation.
An autopsy is being conducted.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.
