GRAND ISLAND — Two counterfeit payroll checks were reported at Home Federal Bank during the afternoon Friday, March 8, according to the Grand Island Police Department.

According to GIPD, a Home Federal Bank employee in the Accounting Department reported two counterfeit forgeries in the form of two separate payroll checks that were counterfeited.

They were cashed at two Home Federal Banks, the first at 12:21 p.m. and the second at 12:45 p.m.

The payroll checks were in the accounts of Scott Spady Motor Sales, LLC, of Hastings.

The Home Federal main branch has reimbursed Scott Spady Motors and is the victim of the case, according to the GIPD.

The case remains under investigation.
