GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island man with an active warrant was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana at the time of his arrest.
On Monday, March 25, officers with the Grand Island Police Department contacted Antwan Williams, 45, in reference to an active and confirmed Hall County warrant for revocation of probation.
The warrant had been issued on Feb. 5 in relation to a case where Williams was found guilty of being in possession of a controlled substance at the time of a March 28, 2023, traffic stop.
Upon Williams’ arrest on Monday, two small baggies containing a white crystal substance and a green leafy substance were located in his pocket.
The white substance was later tested and found presumptive positive for methamphetamine. The green substance was found to be marijuana.
Williams was arrested for the active warrant, possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance – marijuana.
