LINCOLN – Nebraska Basketball has seen another fan-favorite depart from Lincoln.

Nebraska sophomore guard Jamarques Lawrence will enter the transfer portal, according to reports.

With Lawrence’s departure, Nebraska now has six open scholarships to use for the upcoming season.

Lawrence spent the past two seasons at Nebraska and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

The rising averaged 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while developing into a strong sixth man option down the stretch.
