GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island man was arrested after his female partner said he strangled her and threatening to kill her on Wednesday, April 3.
At 1 p.m., officers with the Grand Island Police Department were dispatched to a domestic disturbance call on West 4th St.
A 48-year-old female would report that she had been strangled by her intimate partner, Adam Chambers. The incident stemmed from a missing wallet.
During the altercation, the female said Chambers stated he was going to kill her as he placed his hands around her throat, impeding her breathing. Officers observed there was a red color to her neck.
She was able to escape from Chambers and call the police.
Chambers had fled the area prior to the officer’s arrival but was eventually located and placed under arrest for third degree domestic assault, terroristic threats and strangulation.
He was booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections.
