HASTINGS — The 2024 Give Hastings Day raised $1,077,091 during the annual philanthropic event on Thursday, May 2.

According to the Give Hastings Day website, there were 5,325 donors who gave to 110 organizations.

“Thank you to the nonprofit organizations, sponsors, volunteers, friends, and donors who all came together to make May 2nd another successful Give Hastings Day,” the Hastings Community Foundation stated.

“Your support did more than raise funds for 108 local nonprofit organizations and projects. You helped to create better, stronger communities. That’s a gift that benefits us all for years to come,” the Hastings Community Foundation said.

The top 10 non-profit organizations included:

1 – Schnase 1906 District, $132,941 raised
2 – Hastings Catholic Schools Foundation, $41,393 raised
3 – Start Over Rover, $34,233 raised
4 – Revive, Inc., $34,011 raised
5 – The Salvation Army, $32,684 raised
6 – Hastings College, $32,105 raised
7 – Hastings Area Habitat for Humanity, $30,090 raised
8 – Prairie Loft Center, $30,033 raised
9 – Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska – Hastings, $24,118 raised
10 – CASA of South Central Nebraska, $23,851 raised

“Give Hastings Day is your opportunity to support the nonprofit community with one easy gift. With more than 100 participating nonprofit organizations and projects, you’re sure to find organizations doing work that is especially meaningful to you. In our first ten years, Give Hastings Day has raised nearly $5.5 million for Adams County organizations,” the Hastings Community Foundation stated.
