GRAND ISLAND — Starting Tuesday, May 7, the Grand Island Public Library will feature the art show ‘A Modern Twist on an Ancient Craft’ from the local group Prairie Fibers Weavers and Spinners Guild.

The show will run May 7-28 in the Art Alcove and will feature a unique blend of handmade textiles of various techniques and styles, including hand-dyed tapestry, hand-spun yarn, felting, Fair Isle and Shetland knitting, overshot, twill, ikat weaving, crochet and more.

An artists’ reception will be held on Sunday, May 19, at 2 p.m.
