Kearney Catholic Girls Track & Field, C-8 District Champions // Kearney Catholic Track, X
ORD – A historic day at the C-8 District track meet wrapped up for the Kearney Catholic girls track and field team, taking the team title while breaking state records in the process.
In total, Kearney Catholic had eleven girls events earn automatic qualifying marks for the State Track & Field championships next week, while the boys earning eight. Additionally, the Stars Alyssa Onnen broke the Class C State Record in pole vault with a launch of 12′ 9.25″.
The Stars pushed past Ord with 168 total points, leaving the Chanticleers as the runner-up with 115 total points.
For the boys, North Platte St. Pats won the title with 160 points as Ord finished runner-up with 105, and Kearney Catholic third at 74.
