Dan Quick, (Central Nebraska Today, KGFW)
GRAND ISLAND — It’s a close race in the 35th District of the Legislature, with both candidates advancing to the general election.
Dan Quick received 1,659 votes, compared to 1,575 votes for State Sen. Ray Aguilar, who received 1,575 votes. That’s a difference of 84 votes.
Quick, 66, of Grand Island said he served in the Legislature from 2017 to 2021.
“We went out and knocked on doors, my wife and I,” Quick said.
“It’s great to go meet people at the doors,” he said. He will keep campaigning by knocking on doors up until the general election.
“That’s our main campaign, going door to door,” Quick said. “I appreciate all of the support from people.”
A voice message was left for Aguilar.
