GRAND ISLAND – Deputy Hall County Public Defender Vicky A. Kenney will apparently become Hall County’s new public defender in January.
Kenney will replace long-time Public Defender Jerry Piccolo, who’s retiring.
Kenney received 2,558 votes, compared to 1,417 votes for Ian Osborn. He is a deputy Hall County attorney.
Kenney will become the public defender unless a write-in candidate would defeat her in November.
