GRAND ISLAND — A 35-year-old Grand Island man was arrested for two counts of first-degree sexual assault and incest.
On Wednesday, June 5 at 12:23 p.m., a Grand Island Police Department made contact with an adult female and her juvenile daughter in reference to a sexual assault incident.
The 10-year-old girl disclosed that while staying with a friend overnight, the friend’s father sexually assaulted her while she was sleeping. The father is a 35-year-old Grand Island man.
During the investigation, officers were also advised that one of the father’s daughters disclosed a sexual assault when she was 10 years old.
Central Nebraska Today does not generally name victims of sexual assault. The man’s name is being withheld to protect the victim’s identity.
Officers arrested the man on two counts of first-degree sexual assault an incest. He was booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections.
The GIPD continues to investigate this case.
