HASTINGS — Beginning today, Oct. 1, Hastings Utilities will be installing a water main at the intersection of D Street and New York Avenue.
Traffic will still be able to use D Street, but New York Avenue will be inaccessible from the north for the time being.
A trench will be dug across the street to install the main.
That section of New York Avenue is anticipated to be closed for at least a week.
