Freeze Warning issued for Wednesday, Oct. 16, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
HASTINGS — A Freeze Warning is in effect for the Tri-Cities for the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 16.
According to the National Weather Service – Hastings, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 27 degrees are expected.
The Freeze Warning is in effect from 1 a.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing, “NWS Hastings stated, “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.”
