GRAND ISLAND – Visitors to the Hall County Veterans Memorial Park will notice a new feature at the site.
It’s the Hall County Warriors Memorial, which was dedicated in September.
Tim Bartz of Kramer Auto Parts and Iron and six other veterans formed a committee that raised funds to pay for the memorial. Funding came mostly from scrap iron donations, but also from a few grants.
Dramco constructed the sphere-shaped memorial from stainless steel. The memorial is lighted at night.
The Hall County Warriors Memorial honors veterans since 1970, Bartz said.
