KEARNEY — The American Automobile Experience, a beloved Kearney institution showcasing over 150 classic cars, is excited to announce its first-ever fundraising event.
This special evening will be held at the museum on Sunday Feb. 23, 2025 and will feature a dinner, a LIVE video engagement with TV celebrity Dave Kindig from Bitchin Rides, and a LIVE auction with unique items and experiences.
“Our volunteers are the heart and soul of this museum,” says Norris Marshall, Board Member at the American Automobile Experience. “Their passion for automobiles and dedication to sharing that passion with the community is what makes this place so special.”
The event will feature Dinner, Dave Kindig Presentation, and a LIVE auction with many exciting items, including:
- Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Experience: A trip for four to the 2026 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, including private jet transportation.
- Stay and Play Golf Packages: Multiple day golfing for 2-4 players at The Prairie Club, Valentine NE
- SEMA Show Access: Tickets to the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the World’s most premier automotive specialty products trade event.
- Drive and Ride Experiences: Several experiences at Hastings Motorsports Park which include both driving school and ride-a-long experiences in a Ford GT!
- Plus many more items.
The evening will also recap the museum’s recent rebranding and highlight important achievements, including the successful partnership with the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. This collaboration brought a portion of the “Reclaimed Rust” collection, owned by
Metallica frontman James Hetfield, to Kearney.
“The ‘Reclaimed Rust’ exhibit has been a game-changer for us,” says Brad Kernick. “It’s brought in visitors from all over the region and has truly put us on the map. We’re hoping this fundraising event will help us build on that momentum and secure the resources we need to continue offering exciting exhibits and educational programs.”
The inaugural charity fundraiser for the American Automobile Experience takes place on Sunday, Feb. 23 at the museum in Kearney. Tickets are available now in limited quantities.
