Kearney firefighters on scene at Whiskey Creek on Sunday, Feb. 23, (Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY — Members of the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department responded to Whiskey Creek after smoke was reported in the building during the afternoon of Sunday, Feb. 23.
Around 3:15 p.m., the KVFD was dispatched to Whiskey Creek due to the report of smoke throughout the building, accompanied by a burning electric smell.
It was later reported that there was a strong electrical odor in both bathrooms.
There were several firefighters who climbed to the roof, per photos from the scene.
The cause of the incident was not immediately available on scene.
