ST. PAUL — Power was being restored in St. Paul following an outage that took place during the morning of Thursday, Feb. 27.

According to the St. Paul Police Department, all of power was out for the community at 5:45 a.m. It was reported that a critical failure occurred at a substation that caused a fire.

The St. Paul Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the fire.

Later in the morning, around 7 a.m. the majority of power had been restored, the police department requested the public to avoid the area to give space to the firefighters and the lineman.
