LINCOLN — After being reported missing in November 2023, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the human remains discovered in Lincoln on Saturday, March 8 are those of Tyler Goodrich.
Goodrich’s remains were discovered by a man walking his dog during Saturday morning. His remains were found in a wooded area less than 1,000 feet from his home.
“Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said that area was searched by volunteers immediately after Goodrich’s disappearance and he believes the body has been at that same location for over a year. Houchin says the area was heavily wooded, which made it difficult for volunteers to find the body,” according to KLIN.
The Goodrich’s death is not considered a homicide, the cause of death is still unclear, and an autopsy has been scheduled.
Goodrich, 35, was reported missing on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, and was last seen at his home on W. Burnham St. The last time Goodrich’s phone pinged was at 7:41 p.m. on Friday at his home.
The sheriff’s office had been dispatched regarding a disturbance at Goodrich’s house around this time, but when deputies arrived, Goodrich was no longer there.
