From KHS Girls Tennis coach Troy Saulsbury:
#1 Doubles – Emma Heacock/Sophia Heacock 3-0 Champions
Emma and Sophia continued to improve as a doubles team today.  Emma and Sophia do an excellent job of playing defensive tennis.  They continue to get another shot back when their opponent thinks they have put the ball away.  Emma and Sophia did a nice job of adjusting to the wind today.  By the end of the day, we were consistently winning games against the wind.
#2 Doubles – Bailey Henning/Ella Bokenkamp 4th Place
#3 Doubles – Sarah Dahlke/Sadie Luke – 4th Place
#1 Singles – Cecilia Shaffer – 8th Place
#2 Singles – Addy Sutton – 8th Place
#3 Singles – Lydia Dart – 4th Place
Today was a strong performance for us as a team.  This is the highest we have finished at this meet that features many of the top teams in the state.  I was very pleased with our performance, even in the matches we lost.  We do need to continue to get better at closing out games.  We had quite a few games that we had a game point and lost the game.  Against good teams, we can’t give them multiple opportunities.  Today had a postseason feel to it.  It gives us some confidence heading into the last few weeks of the season, as well as some things we need to improve to continue to get better.
