Online publication The Open Mat has named UNK Wrestling’s Dalton Jensen as their 2025 NCAA Division II Coach of the Year.

Under Jensen’s direction, the Lopers won their second national title in four years. They won the title with a 52 point gap between them and runner-up Augustana.

Of UNK’s ten qualifiers, eight were All-Americans. Zach Ourada (125), Nick James (149) and Jacobi Deal (174) all finished runner-up at the national tournament, while Hector Serratos (133), Joe Airola (141), Jacari Deal (184), Jackson Kinsella (197) and Crew Howard (285) also earned AA honors.

The Open Mat is an online publication that covers all divisions of college wrestling, and presents awards annually for Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year and Wrestler of the Year.

As of 4PM Tuesday, The Open Mat had not released their Wrestler of the Year award for Division II. Lander’s Christian Davis was tabbed Freshman of the Year.
