KEARNEY — Pints for a Purpose will be held at McCues Taproom in Kearney to benefit Kearney Rescue Cats on Saturday, June 7.
“Drink beer, each nachos, pet cats, support a great cause,” is the tagline for the event that will be held from 2 p.m. to midnight.
For every pint sold, one dollar will be donated to Kearney Rescue Cats, there will also be a free will donation with the proceeds going to rescue efforts.
McCues Taproom is located at 2008 Ave. A, Suite A.
“Our mission at Kearney Rescue Cats is to match our adoptable cats with their new forever home. We also promote Trap, Neuter, and Return (TNR) services, helping stray and abandoned cats in the community,” per the Kearney Rescue Cats website.
“Kearney Rescue Cats was formally organized in the fall of 2020. The success of Lopercats, a group organized in 2015 to care for the feral cats on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus as well as reduce the population, led to the demand for a similar group in the city of Kearney. The group has grown from just a few people to over 25 involved in trapping, fostering, and raising funds,” per the website.
