KEARNEY — The 2025 Relay for Life of Central Nebraska was held in Kearney in Harmon Park on Friday, June 6.
“At Relay For Life no donation is too small, each and every dollar counts. Your donations help fund groundbreaking cancer research, patient care programs, and can make a difference in communities like ours. With every donation, you are helping the American Cancer Society save lives,” per their website.
“At Relay For Life events, no one faces cancer alone. We come together every year at events around the country to support and celebrate survivors and caregivers. Each Relay has special events and activities (many throughout the year) just for survivors and their caregivers, so they can connect with others and know there is a strong support system available to them,” per the website.
According to Relay for Life, cancer continues to impact millions of lives each year. In 2025, more than 2 million Americans will be diagnosed with cancer and over 618,000 will lose their lives. Relay For Life has raised nearly $7 billion since 1985, funding research, patient support and advocacy that lead to real, life-saving progress. Every dollar helps fund breakthroughs in treatment, supports families navigating cancer, fuels programs that bring care and resources to those who need them most.
