The awards continue to arrive for the UNK Wrestling team.
Yesterday, Governor Jim Pillen was in town to honor the national championship team while the team was hosting the Nebraska Blue and Gold Team Camp
Alongside the honor for the team, head coach Dalton Jensen and assistant coach Andrew Sorenson were named Admirals of the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska.
The Lopers won the D2 national title in March after qualifying all ten wrestlers for the national championship meet in Indianapolis. It was the Lopers 23rd consecutive top eight finish, with a 52 point margin of victory over runner-up Augustana.
